Bandage Hands is the solo project of indie songwriter and producer Gabriel Thorsteinson.

ORIGINS
The project originally started in the year 2000, in Brandon, Manitoba, and has served as an experimental sonic playground for blending electronic and traditional instrumentation, and for honing the craft of music-making.

For 26 years, Bandage Hands accumulated a massive archive of songs, spanning a wide array of genres. In 2026, all of that background coalesced into a sonic profile that was, finally, ready to be shared with the world.

INFLUENCES
Bandage Hands draws massive inspiration from bands like The Mars Volta, Radiohead, Tame Impala, Sunny Day Real Estate and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, as well as general inspiration from countless others.

PRODUCTION
In 2015, one of Gabriel's best friends (Ojiburry) introduced him to the world of EDM. Ojiburry's enthusiasm for the genre was so infectious that it sparked a decade-long exploration of production techniques for both electronic and traditional rock genres. With the help of Pi Brown (another best friend and a trained audio engineer), and with Ojiburry as a sounding board, Gabriel was able to practice and improve at the art of production.

Throughout the years Bandage Hands has relied on Cool Edit Pro, Audacity, Cubase, Reason and (currently) Ableton Live for production environments.
